Delete Blog in Blogger.com?
I have tried to delete my blog few weeks ago. I went to Settings and clicked "Delete this blog" button. When i logged in again, the blog is no longer in my Blogger account but i realised that my blog is still available in the internet! As in, when i typed my blog url, the blog is still there. How can i get my blog OFF the internet? Help!

I just had the same problem 2 years ago with Blogger. This is what i did. Login to your account and try to ged rid of your blog's contents and the Publish it. Like this, you block will still be shown but empty.
Just remember, delete Everything you've got on it and then delete it.
If you type my Blogs URL address now, it will still be available but it be shown totaly empty.

On my 360 page, I set up an RSS feed from my Blogger page. The feed shows up, but it only displays the oldest posts to my blog, not the newest.

is there a way i use Adobe Kuler themes in Blogger blogs without any complicated or difficult coding?

I think at this point they don't yet have any premade/preset ways for the two to interact, so for now the best way to apply a Kuler theme to you blog is to just grab the color codes. You probably know this already but: You can get the hexadecimal codes by getting a free eyedropper application that grabs the hex codes for you, or taking a screenshot and getting the color values (since in photoshop the values will show up in the color picker), or in Kuler when you edit a theme.

Why doesn't Blogger let me upload more than one or two pictures?
It gives you the option to upload up to five, but often when I am in the middle of a post, it will not upload any. Does anyone know how to fix this problem in Blogger? I already use Photobucket when it does this. Thanks.

I had the same problem. So I started using a photo hosting site
http://tinypic.com/ You can easily upload your photos and they give you a tag and URL. I copy the tag %26amp; paste it right onto my post and presto! You can upload as many photos as you want.
You can also do the same if you want the photos to apear on your main page, just paste the tag onto your template.

My blog was deleted by Blogger; Who do I contact?
My blog [ http://liverpoollivesinme.blogspot.com/ ] was deleted by Blogger earlier this morning. They said there were some copyrights stuff in there. There was only videos from youtube which are copyright but shouldn't they be informing youtube to remove those vids and not remove my blog?

If you broke the "Terms Of Service" rules, or EULA (End User Legal Agreement), by posting copyrighted materials, your probably out of luck.
In the case of Blogspot, their policy is to remove blogger if the content is copyrighted, AND a complaint was filed with them or Google. They do actually have a procedure for complaints about copyright infringement.

It appears that your content was spotted by somebody and they filed a complaint. If that is the case and they have a legal claim, Blogspot will remove the offending material, and/or account to avoid law suits.
My advice, is to very quietly walk away, and be glad that your not being dragged into a court room.
And in the future, make sure your blogs are composed of original content. Too many people paste all kinds of things into their blogs, so that the content is mostly pasted materials. The idea behind blogging is to present your view on various subjects. If you have commentary on a particular web site, or video on the web, provide LINKS, which are not copyrighted.
As long as those links do not violate the terms of agreement:

Yes, the standard templates allow for comments. If you change your template (i.e. with a layout fro blogskins.com), you'd have to look for one with comment boxes. (Or you can insert one by signing up at cbox.com.. or cbox.net.. can't remember which!)

I have noticed over the last year or so that Google appears to be trying to unite their login scheme across all their applications. This may be an attempt (if not a poor one) to do that. By unifying their logins to a few, they are improving their security. The Gmail account is part of that central login ideology.
As far as Picasa, I find that application still a bit rough around the edges even though it is improving every week. So my guess is that until they can make more seamless integration between blogger and Picasa they have filled the gap with an extra "challenge" request so that they can verify your identity.
Other than this, I am not quite sure they would require the extra logging in.

Since some months, I have problems with Blogger: I can post an entry or modifioed them. It's also very slow. I don't have problems with any other page and the help desks on both Blogge and my ISP doesn't help. Does anyone knows what's going on? and what can I do?

If you really really want it, you could consider contacting the owner of the name and offer to buy it...
Or check when it expires and hope the current owner forgets to extend / renew it so you can register it yourself (very unlikely scenario, but you never know).

Why can't Islam standup to the test of freedom of speech without prison or death sentences(S Rushdie)? A lone blogger insulting the president is a crime? How STUPID and petty and BACKWARD.

I am an Egyptian and I have read what the guy wrote in Arabic.
I can assure you of the following
1- the guy did not insult Islam in any way shape or form
2- the guy criticized some of the clergy for trying to force the election of the president down the throats of the Egyptians as an Islamic duty
3- The crime of insulting Islam was giving as a cover to force people not to think about what he said was true or not
In the history of Islam, people were ENCOURAGED to criticize the Caliphs who came after Prophet Muhammad PUH to a great extent without calling it a crime.
During the time of the rulers who came after the caliphate some criticism was allowed depending on the ruler and the circumstances but tyrants would not accept any criticism.
So the rule against the poor guy has nothing to do with Islam it is just a tyrant carrying out his rule not Islam rules.

I am sorry to report that point 1 that I posted was not correct. I depended in my information on an opposition newspaper but from two western newspaper they are confirming that the guy insulted the Prophet PUH. but I still stand by the conclusion, the guy was tried and convicted for insulting the president and the other accusations are to cover it up

I'm considering porting it to Wordpress (hosted on their site, but with the same domain.)
Is there a way to do this without losing my links?
How much control can I have over the directory structure? How do I keep the directory structure if I'm not going to host it myself?
Have you done this? How long did it take you to recover?
Any advice, caveats, recommendations?

You can change the main header, for sure. You can, in fact, change the whole look, if you're willing to go in and "edit the html". You can pull out the expanded html for the whole page and learn the html for google's "widget" language. They have help files for them, and as a result, you can also write the CSS for the divs and other items generated by the widgets. As for other bloggers, there are other bloggers (in other blogging software backgrounds), as I'm sure you'll see in other answers to this question...

If we all posted a blog on blogger.com and signed up for AdSense (you make money when someone clicks on the ads) adn instead of doing this we just click all day and make money..
But honestly, how much money can you really make doing that?

why is it that whenever i turn on my computer and use firefox to open blogger, it works. but after a while it just hangs, but with the status bar showing "Connected to blogger"... but nothing happens. and if i reboot my pc, it'll work but a little while later, same thing happens again.

I have a small but growing blog of about 80 posts but Blogger doesn't seem to have all of the functionality and flexibility I need. How do you export from Blogger/Blogspot to Y360?
I currently have a blogger account and I export my posts from blogger to virb but I would like to also export to my Y360 blog, if that is possible.

i want to make a site quick. i don't even want to bother with my sitespinner or any free webhosts/buy any domains, no. the only thing i'd buy would be a domain and thats later on if my page gets a decent amount of traffic through some affiliates, blah blah blah. ok, anyway, lets say i want to make an anime-themed page on a Blogger.com account. well, say i filled it with a bunch of pics, updated it, all that. got a good ranking on google, etc etc. could i put ads on the blogger account and generate any kind of money from said page?

I don't know if they still do/allow it, but last time I used Blogger - they actually had a feature where they'd put the ads on the site for you. Since Blogger is owned by Google, they have an option where you can put a banner from Google's AdSense program on your blog.
The AdSense would than "read" your blog, and show advertisements relevant to what is displayed on the page. Therefore, the users reading the blog would be more interested in clicking the ads (because it is related to the focus of the blog), and thus you make money.

I am using a meta tag creator to add tags to my Blogger and I am getting an error when I try to save it. "Blogger doesn't allow %26lt;title%26gt; is what I am getting. Where do I add these meta tags? I found a few cool templates online..and I got the html for it..but I can't get it to work in blogger..

I've just been on a website where I saw a video about making money online which cleared things up for me a little. first sign in to your blogger account..
click on the 'layout' next to your blog name
click on 'Add a page element'
and enable the archieves and save the changes.
Then,
go to your blog and click on the archieves link and save the url.I think that is what you want...

I have a blogger account: example.blogspot.com with a google analytics code added.
I want to rename it to: differentname.blogspot.com
do i have to add a new tracking code? will I keep the past tracking data if I do this? best answer gives you 10 points. Thank you

I just started my blog on blogger yesterday and i wrote a big amount of writing. But the thing is that it only appeared until a part, so it didn't get to post the rest (ending). Is this supposed to happen? And if it does have a limit, which free blog website doesn't have one?

Well, I used to blog on myspace, but you have to use html if you want to insert pictures. I've used yahoo 360 and can insert pictures and blog as much as I want without a problem.

okay, so, in my opinon, it would be slightly easier to find some blog style chat coding and put it into a html editing program such as macromedia dreamweaver (you can get free trials of this) and upload it to a free host like xm.com
with this, you have much more control over what you are making, and so it can look exactly the way you want. That is what I did and my site had about 300 hits in the first 2 weeks...

Does Blogger offer a Blogspot.com address forwarding service?
if I change my domain from http://call-center-stories.blogspot.com.... to, say, virtual-observations.com, how can I set it up so any traffic from existing links and indexes that still point to the blogspot.com will be forwarded to the new domain name? Does blogger offer that service?

It's possible to redirect your visitors, by modifying your blogger template and adding a bit of code to redirect traffic. You want to add something like this:
%26lt;meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://your-new-address.com/"%26gt;
in your template between the HEAD tags.
However, this is not a search engine friendly method, though it will point your human visitors to the right place.
Blogger does not offer a service that redirects your visitors; that would make it easier for you to leave Blogger, and they don't want you to leave :)

With the posts on blogger i saw a button that said something like make the oldest post show up first or something like that but now i can't find it please tell me how to get to it.

Google blogger currently doesn't offer that setting...all posts are sorted in the recent most first order.
