Blogger blog layouts?

where can i get blog layouts that are compatable with the new Blogger drag and drop interface? and will also allow adding of Blogger widgets

Blogger blog layouts?
I got my template from http://freetemplates.blogspot.com/

I just pasted the code using the "Edit HTML" option. The page element editor works with the layout. It's a three column design with a customizable header. I love it, and it's simple to add widgets, Adsense, and pretty much anything else you want or need. Best of luck.

Reply:It seams like the template does not interfere with the drag and drop option. you can use "old" templates, and still paste them into your HTML, and you will retain the drag %26amp; drop function.

Blogger: Collapsing Several Blogs Into One?

Here's my dilemma:

I currently have five blogs on Blogger that I don't really use anymore. I would like to delete those blogs and move the posts from them into one central blog. I've searched all through the Blogger help pages and was unable to find anything. Can anybody help?

Blogger: Collapsing Several Blogs Into One?
Copy and paste
Reply:Yes, when you actually think of it that's very logical. Only problem is if the blog was made for a specific topic, but I don't think it's going to look wrong. Report It

Reply:On Google Groups, go to Blogger Help and ask it there http://groups.google.com/group... thats your best bet. The people there are usally very helpful Report It

Blogger for neverburnoutrx vs hosted blog?

hi group, trying to decide between whether to continue using blogger to host my never burn out rx blog or whether to use a formal hosting. can i start with blogger and then "move up" to a hosting plan?

thanks group!!!

Blogger for neverburnoutrx vs hosted blog?
If you are looking for a really professional blog, you should consider self web hosting. Again, if you have knowledge in CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL etc., go for a self hosted blog powered by WordPress and not Blogger. WordPress offers far more flexibility and options than Blogger, but you need to know a bit of the languages mentioned above. Oh yes, I am talking about professional WordPress and NOT WordPress' free blog service.

http://wordpress.org/

If you are uncomfortable with these geeky stuff, just sign up for a free Blogger account as of now. You can upgrade directly from Blogger (there is an option in Settings) as and when you feel necessary. Blogger is pretty good itself, but it's commenting features are horrible.

Blogger help?

how do i change the email address that i sign in with on blogger? when i started my blog, i didnt have a gmail account, which is the easiest to work with blogger, but now i do and i want to change it. help!

Blogger help?
Create another blogger account with gmail address

Add that user as the author for your blog and change his status to admin (author)

http://www.theedifier.com/blogging-blogg...

Remove the user (indicated by your first email id) from the blogger account (with gmail id).

That way you have moved your blog from one account to another.

Delete the Google account relating to the first email id ... if you intend to

If you are not sure, make a new blog and try with it first.

Blogger doesn't accept my template?

on blogger when i try to put my blogskin in it says 'Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.

XML error message: Content is not allowed in prolog. ' i have never had this problem before. is it because of the new blogger format?? what should i do.

Blogger doesn't accept my template?
I had this problem too when they switched the format.

It's really simple to change.

Go to your "template" settings, then click "edit HTML."

At the bottom it will say "convert to classic template."

Click that and paste your skin, it will be done. (:
Reply:See if this helps

Blogger- how to center "About Me" boxes?

I have a Blogger account and I'd like to center the "About Me", "Blog Posts", etc., boxes.

In other words, I'd like to get rid of the annoying boxes on the right hand side so that I only have one column in the center.

I've looked for answers in Blog Help and Blogger Help, but no luck. I only know very basic html, so detailed instructions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks everybody! :)

Blogger- how to center "About Me" boxes?
If you dont want the side bar to appear on your blog page

Remove this code from the blog template

%26lt;div id='sidebar-wrap' %26gt;

%26lt;div id='sidebartop-wrap' %26gt;%26lt;div id='sidebartop-wrap2' %26gt;

%26lt;b:section class='sidebar' id='sidebartop' %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='HTML4' locked='false' title='' type='HTML'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='LinkList1' locked='false' title='1' type='LinkList'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='Feed1' locked='false' title='BBC News | Latest Published Stories | UK Edition' type='Feed'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='Choose your President' type='HTML'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='Profile1' locked='false' title='Contributors' type='Profile'/ %26gt;

%26lt;/b:section %26gt;

%26lt;/div %26gt;%26lt;/div %26gt;

%26lt;div id='sidebarbottom-wrap1' %26gt;%26lt;div id='sidebarbottom-wrap2' %26gt;

%26lt;b:section class='sidebar' id='sidebar' preferred='yes' %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='HTML2' locked='false' title='' type='HTML'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='HTML1' locked='false' title='Choose your President' type='HTML'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='Poll2' locked='false' title='Who would be a better President' type='Poll'/ %26gt;

%26lt;b:widget id='BlogArchive1' locked='false' title='Blog Archive' type='BlogArchive'/ %26gt;

%26lt;/b:section %26gt;

%26lt;/div %26gt;%26lt;/div %26gt;

%26lt;/div %26gt;

You may also have to change these if the blog does not appear right

width:740px;

margin:0 auto;

text-align:left;

font: $bodyFont;

Can my company use Blogger & link it to our website ?

My company wants to get more involved with the blogging aspect of the web. It would set us apart from our competition, who the majority of them, haven't done blogging.

Does anyone know if I can create a blog with Blogger ? I know they have people, but can I do a company ? Or can I make one as a person who works for the company? We wouldn't be doing any hard selling, just rather what life is like here and the behind the scenes our customers don't see. It would be a total relationship building exercise.

If I can open a blog with blogger can I put a link to it on my homepage? We aren't a huge company like Nike, but we are bigger than a mom %26amp; pop. I thought blogger would be an easy solution , and let's face it, a FREE solution for us.

Any suggestions, personal experiences would be appreciated. I DO NOT want to get answers trying to sell me your company's blogger software please. This project needs to be as cheap/ free as possible.

Thank you.

Can my company use Blogger %26amp; link it to our website ?
You can do what you're looking for with a Blogger account. You can either create an account as a person or as a person representing a company - it doesn't matter. At least I've done both.

One thing I would caution against, though, is putting a lot of stock (your time, effort %26amp; eventual rankings for the blog) in property that somebody else owns %26amp; controls.

Web hosting accounts are cheap, domain registration is cheap and popular, highly versatile blogging software is free (WordPress) - if this is for your business %26amp; it's for profit, I cannot urge you enough to do things right when you're starting out - look at the big picture.

Free blog accounts are great to improve link popularity %26amp; even as a fun pastime for chatty people - but if you put a lot of stock in a property that you don't in any way control... you could lose every bit of it one day. And, even if that doesn't happen - if you start on Blogger %26amp; eventually want to host your own blog - you'll have to start all over with rankings and the link popularity of your blog... it's just not the best option available.

You stated this is just an exercise in relationship building with your customers - and you also stated that you're bigger than a mom %26amp; pop type shop; hosting bills %26amp; domain registrations are tax-deductible. You can get a .com for 1 year for $6.95 %26amp; you can find suitable/stable web hosting for around that price per month from reputable providers.

I urge you to look at the big picture with your decision, but the free Blogger option is suitable for what you're looking for.

If you want some direction on a web hosting company or where to get a domain name, send me an email %26amp; I'll point you in the right direction.
Reply:Technically yes, you can use blogger. Any of the models you just mentioned could work. Most companies actually integrate their blog into their sites but I've seen quite a few that keep them separate.

There are other systems out there now that are much more intuitive to pro blogging.

From an SEO perspective you may want to take a look at another option. I highly recommend wordpress.com for a fast, free blogging system. Or if you want more control over the backend of the blog you can install WordPress on your own host for very little money.
Reply:You can do whatever you want with your blogger.com blog. Blogger has very little restrictions and multiple widgets and gadgets you can use to create a professional looking blog.

It does not matter if your an individual or company.

You may want to consider just buying a domain name, for example www.shoestore.com for $10 for the entire year. You can direct your Blogger blog to your domain name by changing the settings in your blogger dashboard.

By doing this, instead of having shoestore.blogspot.com, you will be able to view your blog at shoestore.com using the Blogger hosting and avoid paying monthly hosting fee's by using another company like wordpress.

You'll still have the Blogger bar across the top of the page, but if you decide to pay for hosting at a later time, you can transfer you blog to your host company and remove the blogger bar across the top.

You said your not trying to run an online store, just providing information, so this is your best bet!

Blogger doesnt accept scripts!?

I have an account on blogger.com (http://blindscout.blogspot.com and I've been trying to insert AdSense Content on my blog but they didnt seem to appear.

So I figured It might be that the %26lt;script%26gt; command is not acceptable by blogger.

So I tried typing in the following

%26lt;script%26gt;

document.write("OK we can run scripts, now what is the problem??");

%26lt;/script%26gt;

but that didnt show up either!!

SO HOW CAN I ADD ADSENSE NOW?

Blogger doesnt accept scripts!?
That's because you're not properly inserting the code. You need to copy/paste the AdSense code as it's found on the AdSense site.
Reply:Blogger does accept scripts.

You click add widget, html/javascript, and then you cut and paste the code you need.

Do not put it in the template html as that is written in xml and will be considered not to be well formed.

Also, they have an adsense widget specifically.

Blogger.com ?

Blogger.com ?
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. I posted a question here, in 360, over a day ago, and have yet to get an answer. I was just going through the question list, and was amazed at the number of questions with 0 answers. This is not a very responsive group. Post it in Psychology, you will probably get a better response. No, don't do that, it's not appropriate. I don't know whats wrong with this 360 group.
Reply:Yeah, I don't know. Nobody visits my page. It's just a place for me to vent to myself. You can find it if you follow my profile. Be careful though, it's a little depressing these days. Thanks for the BA.

Weird blogger question...?

I know this is a very stange thing to ask...

Does anyone know any gay video bloggers on youtube I can watch that aren't feminine? I really want to subscribe to a gay blogger for some reason and I've tried finding one on youtube but the problem is they're all to frustrating to watch cuz they all act like... well girls. Don't get me wrong, I'm gay to, but the guys on youtube are like "Oh my god you guys! Let's all focus on me! That's so fantabulous! I swear to god!" I didn't make that up, a blogger actually said that. I just want to find a blogger to watch who is funny, interesting, gay, (preferably a teenager) but not a complete stereotype. So can someone help me out here?

Try to Google: Gay video bloggers.

Blogger Adsense problems?

I created a blog using Blogger. Later I found out you can add Google Adsense...So I created my Adsense Account through Blogger.....but now when I go to google.com/adsense to manage my ads...the one on my blog doesn't show up...actually it's like a have no ads at all...

How do I "import" it into my Manage Ads thing?

I don't have the snippet since I did it all through Blogger.

Blogger Adsense problems?
Go to your adsense account,,create the codes..and at blogger, add new html capsule and paste the html code in it..it takes about 10 minutes for ads to appear on your blog.
